BACK GARDEN ON 1 DECEMBER

I shot this pic of Piper in the garden this morning, about 15 minutes ago, actually. She's soaking up the rays that appeared through the cloud cover. A few feet away from her I was getting rained on. A typical Victoria December day.

This is not usual for the first of December. These are an Everbearing variety  but I've never see them making berries this late in the year.

    1. Aye, the lass is certainly regal, especially with her new coat. :-)

The strawberries aren't as sweet as they would be in August but they still taste better than the cardboard berries we get from California. How those folks managed to turn perfectly good food into a foul-tasting product baffles me. Mind you, Big Agro.....

  2. It has been a mild winter so far and even though I know that we really need the cold to kill off the insects, provide moisture with some snowcover, I am loving it.
Enjoy your berries, Piper looks like she has found a nice spot in the sun to soak up some rays...

    1. Here in temperate rainforest country we don't get much snow, just day upon day of rain. We haven't even had a frost yet this fall, highly unusual. But, of course, all this talk of global warming is a conspiracy of scientists and do-gooders designed to keep God-fearing folks from making as much money as possible raping the earth. Rant, rant, rant.......

  3. Lol. Could you add a "follow by email" gadget to your blog so I know when you post? Go to Dashboards, design, layout, add gadgets. (I think)
